We appreciate your interest in the Greensboro Woman’s Club. Any woman aged 21 and above who is willing and able to assume responsibility in the planning and carrying out of volunteer service-related activities in GWC may apply to become a member. Our business meetings are held

September through May on the first Wednesday of each month at the historic Weir-Jordan House Event Venue.

Club Requirements for 2026-2027

Payment of Dues – Dues for renewing members in the amount of $100, should be paid to the club treasurer no later than July 31. Dues for provisional members will be a total of $100, of which $25 is to be paid with their online Prospective Application and the remaining balance of $75 is due

no later than September 15.

General Meetings – Members are required to attend a minimum of 3 General Meetings (held the first Wednesday night of each month, September – May, in a dinner/business meeting format unless otherwise noted). 

 

Club Projects – Members are required to participate in a minimum of 4 Club-Sponsored projects. This includes CSP (Community Service Program) projects, collections of items, and club-wide “hands-on” projects.  Additionally each member is expected to participate in one fundraiser or has the option to pay $25 towards our Ways & Means budget. Other volunteer projects that club members may choose to participate in, but are not sponsored by the Club, do not count towards this requirement.

Executive Board and Board of Trustees are exempt from the Club Project requirements but must demonstrate their leadership in the Club by attending board meetings and assisting with any Board-sponsored projects or fundraisers.

The Club is open to receive Prospective applicants from June 1 through September 15, unless we reach our current maximum number before that.

Provisional Membership is now open! If you'd like to join us, just click the Application button below.  This will take you to an online form with instructions.  Thank you for your interest in GWC.

Upon admission to the Club, a Prospective applicant becomes a Provisional Member. Attendance at an orientation session(s) is mandatory. Provisional Members will be inducted at the May Installation and Awards meeting, at which time they become full-fledged members.
