We appreciate your interest in the Greensboro Woman’s Club. Any woman aged 21 and above who is willing and able to assume responsibility in the planning and carrying out of volunteer service-related activities in GWC may apply to become a member. Our business meetings are held
September through May on the first Wednesday of each month. Typically we meet in person, but in 2020 we began utilizing online meetings due to the pandemic and state gathering restrictions.
Currently in 2022 we are using a hybrid model of both an in-person and online meeting, but hope to conclude our club year with in-person meetings only.
The Club is open to receive Prospective applicants from June 1 through September 15. Membership opportunities will reopen June 1, 2022. Upon admission to the Club, a Prospective applicant becomes a Provisional Member. Attendance at an orientation session is mandatory. Provisional Members will be inducted at the May Installation and Awards meeting, at which time they become full-fledged members.

Prospective applicants will be contacted by the Membership Chairwoman within a week of receipt of their application. In the event of limited available membership vacancies, prospective applicants will be admitted based upon chronological order, shown by the timestamp on the online application. Should no membership openings be available, the applicant will have the option to request a refund
or allow the club to retain their deposit and application for the next club year.
Club Requirements for 2022-2023
Payment of Dues – Dues for renewing members in the club year of 2022-2023, in the amount of $75, should be paid to the club treasurer no later than July 31, 2022. Dues for provisional members in the club year of 2022-2023 will be a total of $75, of which $25 is to be paid with their Prospective Application (after the June 1 opening for prospective members) and the remaining balance of $50 is due no later than September 15.
General Meetings – Members are required to attend a minimum of 3 General Meetings (held the first Wednesday night of each month, September – May, in a dinner/business meeting format unless otherwise noted). Due to gathering restrictions mandated by the state of NC, our meetings will be held virtually or in small groups until these restrictions are lifted.
Club Projects – Members are required to participate in a minimum of 5 Club-Sponsored projects. This includes CSP (Community Service Program) projects, collections of items, and club-wide “hands-on” projects. Other volunteer projects that club members may choose to participate in, but are not sponsored by the Club, do not count towards this requirement.
Executive Board and Board of Trustees are exempt from the Club Project requirements but must demonstrate their leadership in the Club by attending board meetings and assisting with any Board-sponsored projects or fundraisers.
