Our club meets monthly at the Weir-Jordan House during the months of September through May. We get together for social events in the summer, to better allow us to stay in touch.

Serving the Greensboro

Community since 1909

Last year we raised $1,800 for Greensboro area charities, and we had fun doing it!

Each month, different club members will chair volunteer hand-on projects for which members may sign up and participate. During the last club year, for example, we cleaned and pruned the shrubs at Cove Creek Gardens, collected school supplies for teachers, walked in the Women's Only Walk/Run for mammography scholarships, as well as the Alzheimer's Memory Walk, made fleece scarves  for the adult residents at Bell House, served soup at Urban Ministries Feast of Caring, dressed up in Halloween costumes and helped with children's activities at Zoo Boo Bash at the Natural Science Center, and made monetary donations to agencies in need.

In 2010, we volunteered on 35 structured projects benefitting the community. This amounted to over 1,640 hours served. Through our fundraising efforts, we were able to donate over $15,750.00 to the community and various charities within the Greensboro area.

We also make time for social events. During the holidays we decorate the clubhouse and host an ornament exchange for club members, and take advantage of other opportunities to get together outside of meetings and service projects.
